Argentina Leader Pledges To Cut Carbon Emissions
Heads of state and government from over 70 countries are taking part in the virtual gathering, which is co-hosted by the UK, the United Nations, France, Italy and Chile.
President of Argentina Alberto Fernandez on Saturday said his country plans to reduce its carbon emissions over the next decade with the aim of becoming carbon-neutral by 2050. Argentina pledges to present a development strategy with low emissions in the long term, with the objective to reach a carbon-neutral development in the year 2050, said Fernandez during the UN Climate Ambition Summit.
