EPC Cigar Co Adding Pledge Apogee at PCA 2021

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA s Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I m a voice over artist. I previously covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for

Crowned Heads The Lost Angel TAA Exclusive 2021 Shipping Next Month – halfwheel

Crowned Heads’ The Lost Angel TAA Exclusive 2021 Shipping Next Month Last March, Crowned Heads announced its 2020 exclusive release for the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA). Then, the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic began canceling events, including the in-person version of the annual TAA Meeting & Convention where orders of the cigar would normally be written. In the end, the company did more than just delay the release; it’s now releasing a completely different cigar. The Lost Angel 2021 is a 6 x 52 box-pressed cigar that uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Brazlian mata fina binder and Nicaraguan fillers. It is being made at Tabacalera Pichardo, the same factory that produces Juárez and Mil Días for Crowned Heads. For context, The Lost Angel 2020 was announced as having an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and being made at Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. in the Dominican Republic.

Alec & Bradley Kintsugi Corona Gorda – halfwheel

Release Date: December 2020 Number of Cigars Smoked For Review: 3 Visually, the Alec & Bradley Kintsugi Corona Gorda is covered in a dark brown wrapper that has a bit of tooth, but very few overt veins or signs of oil. On this particular vitola the two bands take up more than half of the available real estate of the cigar and it is nicely spongy when squeezed. Aroma from the wrapper is a combination of sweet hay, milk chocolate, sweet cedar, manure, leather, barnyard, earth and honey, while the cold draw brings flavors of strong floral and dark chocolate, along with espresso beans, hay, leather, bread, white pepper, cedar and a distinct candied pecan sweetness.

An Earnest 50 Years | Cigar Aficionado

Photos/Peter Garritano After five decades in the cigar business, there isn’t much that Ernesto Perez-Carrillo hasn’t done. He sits here in the aging room of his factory in the Dominican Republic. Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. has every right to be cocky. After five decades in the cigar business, his name resonates throughout the industry as a beloved, well-respected figure whose distinguished career lead him, in 2018, to the highest award any cigarmaker can receive Cigar Aficionado’s Cigar of the Year. He’s also been inducted into the Cigar Aficionado Hall of Fame, turned a local Miami cigar into a national brand and continues to produce cigars at his own factory on his own terms in the Dominican Republic. Of course, he isn’t cocky at all. Fifty years of toil seems to have had the opposite effect. Despite his enviable resume of achievement, he’s one of the nicest guys in the industry. So what does the guy who’s done
