RPF personnel prevents differently-abled man from boarding moving train in Panvel ANI | Updated: Feb 06, 2021 12:56 IST Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 6 (ANI): A Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel prevented a differently-abled man from boarding a moving train at the Panvel Station on Friday. The video shared by RPF showed that the incident happened at around 3:44 PM on February 5 when a differently-abled man tried to board the running train and a passenger was helping him. However, the RPF personnel came in time and pulled him back. It is not safe to board a moving train as a person can get caught between the train and railway tracks, which can even lead to death.

Jawahar Lal, officer-in-charge of RPF police station, said, “No arrests have been made and the turtles have been handed over to the forest department.” Divisional forest officer Suraj Kumar Singh said, “The range officer has been asked to investigate the matter properly with the help of the railway police. We have to find the smuggling route and the people behind the crime. Our personnel will take proper care of the seized turtles and they will be sent to the nearest habitat for rehabilitation before their release. Indian flapshell turtles are freshwater turtles and are protected under Schedule 1 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.”
