Those looking for more cross-country trails will find them at Brooks Woodland Preserve in Petersham, Bullitt Reservation in Ashfield, Copicut Woods in Fall River, Field Farm in Williamstown, Noon Hill in Medfield, and Ravenswood Park in Gloucester.

Canton s Winterlights one of the Best Public Holiday Light Displays

Community Content Winterlights, an annual holiday event at the Bradley Estate in Canton and at Naumkeag in Stockbridge, has been named a top 10 Public Holiday Light Displays in the country by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, according to the the Trustees of Reservations. Winterlights landed at number six on the list, which includes holiday light shows from across America. Nominees for all categories are chosen by a panel of relevant experts which include a combination of editors from USA Today, editors from 10Best.com, relevant expert contributors and voters from across the country who ultimately choose the winners.

Holiday Events for the Whole Family: Special displays light up the season Wicked Local             HOLIDAY ART DISPLAY: The “From Russia with Art Holiday” exhibit will be on display at The Picture Place, 320A Harvard St., Brookline, through Dec. 30.             The exhibition is open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays.             The exhibition is curated by Olesya and Jerry Koenig and Tom Coppi. Masks and social distancing are required. Etchings, oil paintings and mixed media will be on display.             Featured artists are Anatoly Dverin, Alexander Korman, Misha Lenn, Stanislav Nikireev, Alexander Vetrov, Irena Makoveeva, George Lapchinsky and Vladimir Vorobyov.
