Updates on CCP Virus: Vitamin D Significantly Reduces Deaths, Study Shows

Updates on CCP Virus: Vitamin D Significantly Reduces Deaths, Study Claims Providing high doses of vitamin D to patients admitted to hospitals after contracting the CCP virus could reduce deaths by 60 percent, according to a study by the Social Science Research Network. As part of the research, 551 patients admitted to a hospital in Spain were given calcifediol, a prehormone generated from vitamin D3, resulting in 80 percent of the patients not requiring ICU treatment. The research stated that 36 of the patients treated with calcifediol died from the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, compared to 57 patients out of 379 in the control group.

COVID and other diseases: An Animal Farm perspective

The COVID-19 pandemic may have had serious negative effects on both the tracking and the true incidence of TB cases. Photo: AP The global burdens of COVID and the global benefits of anti-COVID policy have been skewed against the poorer nations of the world, and within nations, against the poor and the vulnerable. It is no exaggeration to observe that the coronavirus pandemic has been the single most newsworthy event of 2020, in a way and on a scale that has not been rivalled, over decades, by any other comparably unique phenomenon. We intend this as a purely positive statement a simple search of Google Trends will readily confirm it but when juxtaposed with other relatively neglected observations, it has practical and normative implications that deserve our attention.

Study finds Vitamin D reduces Covid deaths by 60%

Vitamin D reduces Covid-19 deaths by 60 per cent, a study has found, as MP David Davis today called for the therapy to be rolled out in hospitals immediately to save many thousands of lives. The study evaluated the effectiveness of calcifediol - a Vitamin D3 - on more than 550 people admitted to the Covid-19 wards of the Hospital del Mar in Barcelona, Spain.  Subjects were randomly assigned as either recipients of the calcifediol treatment or as controls on admission, before receiving five doses of the vitamin in increasing intervals of two, four, eight and 15 days.  The research, published by the Social Science Research Network, found Covid-19 patients given doses of Vitamin D were 80 per cent less likely to require ICU treatment.

However, even before Covid-19, couples’ relationships have been more at risk due to certain factors.  According to new research published this week in the Economic Journal, parents of teenage daughters are more likely to divorce than those of sons. The study, led by American and Australian academics, found that couples with a daughter were up to nine per cent more likely to get divorced, and that age also played a role – with first-time parents to 15-year-old girls being the most likely to be affected.
