Two students named finalists in Regeneron Science Talent Search

Two San Diego students have been named finalists in the prestigious 2021 Regeneron Science Talent Search. The talent search is sponsored by the Society for Science & the Public and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., and is the nation’s oldest science and math competition for high school seniors. It provides students a national stage to present original research and celebrates their hard work and novel discoveries. Jeffrey Wang (Courtesy photo) Jeffrey Wang, 17, of The Bishop’s School and Jessie Gan, 17, San Diego Jewish Academy, are among 40 finalists chosen from 1,760 entrants based on their projects’ scientific rigor and their potential to become world-changing scientists and leaders. Each finalist receives at least $25,000, and the top 10 awards range from $40,000 to $250,000.
