BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (AP) Surgery Partners Inc. (SGRY) on Wednesday reported a loss of $21 million in its first quarter.
The Brentwood, Tennessee-based company said it had a loss of 57 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, came to 30 cents per share.
The surgical facilities operator posted revenue of $512.4 million in the period.
Surgery Partners shares have risen 70% since the beginning of the year. The stock has more than quadrupled in the last 12 months.
