Former LSU Quarterback Announces Transfer to Auburn
T.J. Finley, the LSU quarterback that announced his entrance into the transfer portal in early May, committed to Auburn Monday. The freshman Louisiana native was also considering the University of Houston, Penn State, and Alabama.
In his lone season in Baton Rouge, Finley started in five games during the 2020 season. Still, Finley shared time with eventual starter Max Johnson. He finished with 941 passing yards and 34 rushing yards. Overall, Finley passed for 57.1%, five touchdowns and five interceptions.
In the five games that Finley started in, the Tigers went 2-3 with wins only against Arkansas and South Carolina. During that time, LSU lost to unranked Auburn, No. 5 Texas A&M and No. 1 Alabama.

Harris talked about his post-draft celebration; Instead of going to the draft, he decided to give back to his hometown by spending time at the same homeless shelter he used to live in. I felt the whole community of the Bay Area helped me get where I am today, so I decided to not go there (the NFL draft) and to have it in the Bay Area. Harris was born in Martinez, CA, on the east side of the Bay Area.
