(WTVM) - A reward totaling $35,000 is being offered in a 1991 cold case in LaFayette, Alabama. 27-year-old Elizabeth Spence was reported missing from LaFayette Wednesday, January 2, 1991. Her vehicle was found January 9 in the parking lot of a department store on Atlanta Highway in Montgomery. Spence’s body was found in the trunk of the vehicle upon inspection of evidence. Central Alabama Crime Stoppers and the state of Alabama are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest of the those involved in Spence’s murder. Her family is also offering $25,000 for an arrest and conviction the case.

Central Alabama Crime Stoppers on Friday announced a reward of $5,000, up from $1,000, in the 2003 disappearance of LaQuanta Riley. That brings the total reward amount to $15,000. Riley was 19 when she was last seen on Dec. 7, 2003. According to the missing persons website The Charlie Project, Riley left her Montgomery home in a dark green, four-door car, possibly a Ford Taurus or Chevrolet Caprice. The driver took Riley to her mother’s home three miles away, where Riley asked for a jacket.

The shooting happened at 4:53 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Pleasant Springs Drive. Police said the boy – Davion Tarver – was taken to Baptist South in Montgomery and then to Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham in critical condition. After being on life-support for two days he died at 10:45 a.m. Monday, said Tuskegee Police Chief Loyd Jenkins III.
