A first batch of Moderna vaccine is on its way to Alabama, and more shipments are expected in the days to come.
The first batch, expected to arrive today, is part of the state’s initial 84,000 dose allotment of the Moderna vaccine, according to a state health department press release Monday.
“Thankfully we are getting the Moderna product. We believe, if everything goes as scheduled, that will allow us to add many, many more (vaccination) sites,” said Alabama State Health Officer Dr. Scott Harris on Friday.
