Hundreds of coronavirus cases were reported at Tesla’s Fremont factory after CEO Elon Musk reopened the plant in May, according to news reports.
From May to December 2020, more than 400 coronavirus cases were reported at the Fremont factory, according to a Washington Post report. The Post cited data collected by the website PlainSite, which requested case numbers for the Tesla factory from the Alameda County Public Health Department.
