Deputies investigating a pharmacy takeover robbery in Castro Valley on Friday uncovered a large cache of weapons, the Alameda County Sheriff s Office said.
The robbery was reported at the Walgreens store at 3382 Castro Valley Blvd.
Deputies located a car similar to the one used in the robbery parked at a storage unit facility, officials said, and contacted the driver, whom they found was armed and on probation.
A search of the suspect s storage locker turned up at least seven firearms, including one reported as stolen. Some were stolen (AK Pistol) and the handguns are full auto with 100 round drums, the office said in a social media post.

Department officials reported on Dec. 30 that 12 staff members and 109 inmates had tested positive for the coronavirus, the second highest number since July, when 110 inmates contracting the illness. In the days that followed, the numbers dropped to 76 on Jan. 6 and 12 on Sunday.
The number of affected staff members fell to five. This is the second outbreak we ve had of the pandemic, said Sgt. Ray Kelly, a department spokesman. We ve managed to fight back against the outbreak, and we ve lowered the cases to 12.

Three mail theft suspects were arrested early Sunday morning in an unincorporated area of San Leandro, the Alameda County Sheriff s Office said.
Eden Township Substation patrol deputies responded to a report of theft from mailboxes in the area of Howe Drive around 4 a.m. and located and stopped the suspect vehicle.
More than 300 pieces of mail and packages, along with burglary tools and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle, along with three suspects, including one wanted on an unrelated felony warrant.
