Qatar welcomes ICC decision on inclusion of occupied Palestinian territories in its jurisdiction  25 Feb 2021 - 7:05 QNA Doha: The State of Qatar has welcomed the decision of the International Criminal Court (ICC) on the inclusion of the occupied Palestinian territories in its jurisdiction, which paves the way for an investigation into committing international crimes against Palestinians, and considered as a message to the perpetrators of these crimes that their crimes will not be subject to statute of limitations, and provides hope to the victims in achieving justice and fairness. This came in the statement of the State of Qatar delivered by Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar in Geneva,  H E Ambassador Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, yesterday at the Human Rights Council during the interactive dialogue on the report of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on ensuring accountability and justice in all violations of international law in the Occupied Palestinian Terri

Dubai: A six-year-old boy has overcome his fear of the police after receiving a surprise home visit and gifts from the Dubai Police. Colonel Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, acting director of Dubai Police General Department of Community Happiness, said an Arab family had approached Dubai Police and sought their assistance to help their child overcome fear of policemen and change the child’s negative perception about the force. “We dispatched a team from the Security Awareness Department that was accompanied policewoman mascot ‘Amna’ to entertain the little boy. We also gifted him with a tailored police uniform and took him on a ride around his neighbourhood in one of Dubai Police’s luxury patrol cars,” he explained.

A six-year-old boy who used to be scared of cops in uniform got a sweet surprise from the Dubai Police. Hoping to help him overcome his fear, the authorities visited him at home, with special gifts in tow. Colonel Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, acting director of the General Department of the Community Happiness Department, said they learnt about the boy’s fear of the police when his family approached them and sought assistance in making him realise that cops are the good guys.
