Due to surging COVID-19 numbers and the resultant mandates by health officials, last year s in-person graduation ceremonies were canceled at USC, as well as most other universities. Su Lei Waddy, a student in Myanmar taking a full-time course load, used to attend her classes synchronously from Myanmar. Every day, she would log into Zoom at around 1:30 to 8:30 a.m. Rangoon time.
