Some workers in New Jersey collecting unemployment may experience delays receiving their $300 weekly federal benefits this week due to a technology upgrade, while others who were double-paid earlier this month will not see checks, to balance out overpayments, the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development said Monday. The state Office of Information Technology successfully migrated mainframe processing to a new, much faster platform over the weekend, which will significantly enhance online service delivery to all of our claimants, as well as those accessing other state services, said spokesperson Angela Delli Santi. However, this statewide planned technological upgrade delayed some of our payment processes that normally occur on weekends.
