The edict will include John F. Kennedy Elementary School, West Oso Elementary School, West Oso Junior High School and West Oso High School. Tuesday evening, West Oso ISD received notification that employees at John F. Kennedy Elementary School and West Oso Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19. Because of this, the school district initially has decided to move both schools to remote learning until further notice.

Ellsworth High School teacher charged with unlawful sexual contact

Ellsworth High School teacher charged with unlawful sexual contact ELLSWORTH  The Ellsworth School Department and the Ellsworth Police issued a press release Dec. 11 reporting the arrest of Ellsworth High School English teacher Adam Hitchcock, 24, of Bangor. The charge is Class C unlawful sexual contact. The arrest arises from an allegation concerning possible inappropriate contact between a teacher and a 15-year-old student. “Evidence indicates that inappropriate sexual contact between the teacher and a 15-year-old student allegedly began in March of 2020,” the press release states. Hitchcock was taken to Hancock County Jail, where he is presently incarcerated, jail administration confirmed.\ The School Department had notified the Hancock County District Attorney’s Office on Dec. 10 upon receiving the allegation, as required by law. The information then flowed from the District Attorney’s Office to the Police Department, with a request that an investigation be opened.

OSFI Issues Draft Revised Guideline B-2 In Respect Of Large Exposures By Property & Casualty Insurers - Insurance

On November 26, 2020, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions ( OSFI ) issued for public comment a draft revised Guideline B-2, Property and Casualty Large Insurance Exposures and Investment Concentration (the Draft Guideline ) which would replace the current Guideline B-2, Investment Concentration Limit for Property and Casualty Insurance Companies (the Current Guideline ). The significant changes to the Draft Guideline address single large insurance exposures of federally regulated property and casualty insurers ( P&C Insurers ). The Draft Guideline departs from a proposal in 2018 (the 2018 Proposal ) that, among other things, required that P&C Insurers be able to cover their three largest policy limit losses.
