AUSTIN, Texas On June 16, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott asked for donations to help fund a border wall between Texas and Mexico.
“Texas will build a border wall in our state,” Gov. Abbott said.
By that weekend, the State received $345,141 from donations across the country.
From June 16 to 18, records show 3,842 donors gave money either online or by mail.
Gov. Abbott announces a new task force, a renewed vow to arrest illegal immigrants, and plans next week to discuss continuing to build the Southern Wall.
