A former Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Deputy Governor, Dr. Chris Nwagboso has lauded Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State for his giant strides in infrastructure, agriculture, SME and other pillars of development of his administration.
Dr. Nwagboso, who was speaking in an interview with newsmen in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area, on Monday, stated that the Governor had done well in fixing the hitterto infrastructural deficit of Aba.
He said, “we know how our roads used to be before his inception in 2015. A cursory look at what is going on in Aba, one doesn’t need a prophet to let him know that something fundamental, something tangible has been put in place in Aba. You cannot talk of development in Abia without Aba, Aba is the corner stone, visa viz development in Abia State.”

Over 200,000 hectares of land across 15 grazing reserves are being prepared by the Federal Government under the National Livestock Transformation Plan.
It was also gathered that 22 states had so far shown interest in the livestock programme that aims to address the incessant clashes between herders and farmers across the country.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture, Andrew Kwasari, who coordinates the NLTP, told
Sunday PUNCH on Friday that some participating states had already commenced training for the implementation of the scheme.
On February 13, 2021, the Federal Government announced that it had commenced the implementation of the NLTP and also disclosed that 20 governors had shown interest in the programme at the time.

The Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, says the investment drive of his administration has been yielding dividends in key sectors of the economy.
Fayemi spoke when he received the top management team of Sterling Bank led by the Divisional Head, Retail, Mr Shina Atilola, on Friday, in Ado-Ekiti.
The team unfolded the bank’s proposal to develop tourism, art and craft sectors. Fayemi, represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, expressed delight with the bid tabled by Sterling Bank Plc to invest in Arinta Waterfall in Ipole Iloro and develop it to a tourist destination of choice in Nigeria.

The Federal Government on Tuesday announced that it had commenced the implementation of the National Livestock Transformation Plan and also disclosed that 20 governors had shown interest in the programme.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture, Andrew Kwasari, who announced the commencement of the programme, said the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), had secured a €400,000 grant from the Netherlands for the initiative.
A statement issued in Abuja by the Communications Lead, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development-Project for Agricultural Development Planning, Sandra Affun, stated that Buhari secured the grant during his visit to Netherlands.
