These days, most of that is old news to us, but there are still markets that are making that shift. While pharmaceutical distribution may vary from country to country, all of them are subject to factors that make competition in the digital health market a complicated matter. Medications are one of the newest categories of goods that can be sold online, but there are a few marked differences between this and other goods for sale in the e-commerce space.

Many are leaning on their electronic health record vendors and even outside consultants for help. WHY IT MATTERS That s according to a new report from KLAS that surveyed a small sampling of health system execs to see how they re faring with the rules from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, which took effect April 5. Most of the 42 respondents reached by the research firm said they feel prepared for compliance with the information blocking rules.

Patient ID Now coalition releases national strategic framework for identity, matching
