Alabama woman 1 of 2 killed in New Mexico crash; 2 kids injured

The New Mexico State Police investigated a fatal head-on crash on NM Highway 11, near milepost 16 south of Deming, NM. NMSP were called to the scene on Monday night.
The initial state police investigation indicates a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by Francisco T. Molina, 76, of Deming, NM, was traveling southbound on NM Highway 11 ( Columbus Highway). As the Chevrolet attempted to pass another vehicle in the opposing northbound lane, the Chevrolet collided head-on into a 2003 GMC Equinox SUV traveling north.

ROOSEVELT COUNTY, N.M. (KFDA) - The New Mexico State Police investigated a multiple vehicle deadly head-on crash on US Highway 60.
On December 20, at approximately 6:34 p.m., near milepost 348 east of Taiban, a deadly multiple vehicle head-on crash occurred on US Highway 60.
The initial investigation indicated a Ford Focus, driven by 22-year-old Terrell Christopher Ryan Daw of Gallup, was traveling west on US Highway 60.
For reasons unknown, the Focus crossed over into the eastbound lanes of traffic.
