Identity of suspect sought by VPSO VPSO and last updated 2021-01-13 08:58:52-05 The Vermilion Parish Sheriff s Office Criminal Investigations Division is asking for help from the public in attempting to identify and locate a burglary suspect. On January 8, 2020, between the hours 2:00 am and 2:20 am, the suspect entered a metal building near the intersection of LA Hwy 699 and LA Hwy 700, and stole two four wheelers, according to investigators. The four wheelers are described as a 2003 Honda 500, Green in color and a 2009 Honda 420 (VIN: 1HTE370294006478). Video surveillance shows the suspect was dropped off on the road, walked to the building, pushed the first four wheeler out to the road and then drove east bound on La Hwy 699. Approximately 10 minutes later, the truck drops the suspect off again and steals the second 4 wheeler the same way as the first.

VOLO, Ill. (WLS) One teen was killed and another seriously hurt early Sunday morning in a shooting in northwest suburban Volo. Lake County, Illinois sheriff s deputies responded about 2:50 a.m. to Route 12 and Route 120 for a possible fight in progress, police said. When they arrived, they found three people in a parking lot in the 30400-block of Route 12. Two had been shot: One was deceased and the other was seriously injured. The third suffered only minor injuries. Police said a 35-year-old Round Lake Beach man had his vehicle stolen several days ago and located it about 2:45 a.m. Sunday near Route 12 and Route 120. Two 17-year-old boys from Carol Stream were inside the vehicle, police said.

White County investigators probing burglaries

Investigators in White County are working to identify the person(s) responsible for burglaries at a government facility and a business Friday night. “There was a burglary at the White County Water Authority last night,” said White County Sheriff Rick Kelley. “During the burglary, a vehicle from the Water Authority was stolen.  That vehicle was located at Laurel Creek Mini Storage, which was also burglarized last night.” The mini-storage business is located off Tesnatee Gap Valley Road a short distance from the Water Authority facility. Anyone who saw suspicious activity or who has information about those responsible for the crimes is asked to call the White County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at (706) 865-5177.
