UPDATE, July 14: El Paso County Sheriff s deputies on Wednesday identified the victim killed in a weekend mass shooting behind the Socorro Activities Complex, and said some of those injured had been released from the hospital.
Cruz Eli Arredondo, 21, was the man fatally shot, while authorities said a 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old man had been released from the hospital. In addition, they said a 20-year-old man and 22-year-old man remained hospitalized in stable condition. A fifth wounded person suffered an ankle injury and didn t require hospitalization, officials said.

RARITAN, NJ A 53-year-old Raritan man has been arrested and charged after police say he attacked a borough man with an axe, the Somerset County Prosecutor s Office(SCPO) announced on Thursday.
Johnathan W. Beatty has been charged with second-degree aggravated assault in the incident, which authorities said took place just before 1 a.m. on July 3.
Police went to West Somerset Street after receiving reports that a Raritan man had been attacked. Once there, officers found the man bleeding profusely from cuts to his back and arm, which had been caused by an axe, SCPO Michael Robertson said.
