Early-morning mobile home fire kills one person in Hiddenite

Crews say a person has died after a fire tore through a mobile home early Wednesday morning in Hiddenite. A news release from Alexander County says the call was taken around 6 a.m. for a fire along Ervin Lane, initially for an explosion or fire. Crews with Hiddenite FD arrived to find the home engulfed in flames. The fire was put out, but county fire marshal Mark Earle confirmed the death. Earle also noted there was no evidence an explosion happened, but the home was a total loss.

One Person Killed As Fire Destroys Mobile Home In Alexander County

WCCB Charlotte s CW April 7, 2021 HIDDENITE, N.C. One person has died after a fire engulfed and destroyed a mobile home in Alexander County early Wednesday morning, according to officials. Crews were dispatched to the Ervin Lane home in Hiddenite after receiving a call around 6 a.m. about an explosion or a fire. When the Hiddenite Fire Department arrived they found a mobile home fully engulfed by flames. Upon the fire being put out the Alexander County Fire Marshal Mark Earle said there was one death as a result of the fire. Earle also stated that there was no indication of an explosion, but said the mobile home is a total loss.
