Beginning Tuesday evening, motorists traveling east and westbound on U.S. Highway 50 will be directed on to the newly constructed ramps that will be part of the final interchange design at Purcell Boulevard. The traffic shift will take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and as crews install temporary traffic lights, there will be a full closure of Purcell Blvd. Slight delays can be expected during this phase of work, but the ramps will have dedicated left and right turn lanes and two through lanes that will move motorists back onto U.S. 50 beyond the intersection. According to a press release from the U.S. 50 public information team, motorists traveling north and southbound on Purcell Blvd. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. will encounter alternating lane closures between Industrial Blvd. and Spaulding Ave.
