MACA is dedicated to improving city government through educating and sharing information among its city attorney members. Jacobson has been an attorney with the Swenson Lervick firm since 1996. He currently serves as the city attorney for Alexandria, Parkers Prairie and Starbuck. Jacobson previously served as MACA vice president for two years before accepting this new role. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Kathleen Ulland-Klinkner officiating. Livestreaming of the service will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on Saturday. All guests in attendance are required to wear masks and follow current social distancing guidelines. The day of Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021 is a day which will be forever etched in Cory Stauffer’s mind. It was on that day, Stauffer, a native of Winnebago, was struck by a motor vehicle while working at his job as a Missouri State Trooper. “We (State Troopers) all know the potential of something like this happening,” Cory says. “Although some in law enforcement will go their whole career without experiencing any serious incidents, we all know the risks.”
