Couple found guilty over the death of baby Millie Rose Burdett

Credit: South Beds News Agency A man who violently shook and threw a baby in a fit of rage has been convicted of murder. Davey Everson, 23, was found guilty at St Albans Crown Court of the murder of three-month-old Millie Rose Burdett, who died in hospital in January 2019. Millie Rose s mother, and Everson s partner, Kirsty Burdett, was also in court and she was found guilty of causing or allowing the death of her daughter. Millie Rose suffered a catalogue of injuries during her short life, including 23 broken bones, and she was never able to recover from a bleed on the brain she received in December 2018 after being shook by Everson at Burdett s home in Rickmansworth.

That’s your early birthday present”. On other occasions he had molested the young girl.    When news of that attack came out on social media a 17-year-old girl bravely came forward to say he had orally raped her 10 months earlier. 

Thugs jailed after stabbing during flat break-in

A teenager was stabbed and a young man suffered an injury to his thumb after two men broke into a flat and attacked them. Sami Sarout and Ali Mohammed have been jailed for carrying out the violent attack on the evening of November 18, 2019, when they forced their way into a flat off Beechen Grove in Watford. St Albans Crown Court heard that once inside, Sarout produced a large knife and stabbed the first victim, a 16-year-old boy, twice in the arm. This caused a deep laceration which required an operation to repair it under general anaesthetic. Mohammed produced a kitchen knife before attempting to stab the second victim, a 20-year-old man, and a tussle ensued.
