KKK Graffiti in Michigan College Dorm Was Written by Black Student, Officials Find On 4/9/21 at 12:37 PM EDT Public safety officials have identified the person responsible for racist graffiti found in a Michigan college dorm, saying it was a 21-year-old Black student. Albion Department of Public Safety Chief Scott Kipps told MLive that police brought the student in for questioning on Tuesday and that the student admitted to creating most of the graffiti discovered at Albion College. Video evidence from the school s campus safety department confirmed his admission. The student was released after questioning but has since been put on temporary suspension by the college.

Albion College suspends student over racist and anti-Semitic graffiti

Kalamazoo, MI, USA / WKZO | Everything Kalamazoo | 590 AM · 106.9 FM Apr 9, 2021 6:44 AM ALBION, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – An Albion College student who school officials say was responsible for the racist and anti-Semitic graffiti in a stairwell at Mitchell Towers has been placed on temporary suspension.   The college posted on its Facebook page that the student acted alone and acknowledged their responsibility for these incidents.   The student was identified as a 21-year-old black man. He was immediately removed from campus while a full investigation is conducted as part of the college’s student judicial process.   The graffiti was discovered last Friday and led to three days of campus marches and boycotts of classes. Some students told WWMT-TV there have been at least three other incidents in recent weeks of racial and derogatory graffiti including drawings of swastikas.
