On Jan. 6, white supremacists brought their insurrection-induced mob to the U.S. Capitol building for a coup attempting to reverse the legitimate results of the 2020 election. In the aftermath, there are calls for the 14th Amendment Section 3 to expel members of Congress for their actions and words in support of what transpired. Namely, Sens. Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz. Our Representative in Congress, Jack Bergman, must resign immediately. His actions on January 6 to perpetuate THE BIG LIE that the election was stolen and his votes to disenfranchise the voters of Arizona and Pennsylvania are a clear violation of his oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States and an act of sedition. The hypocrisy of his self-serving statement that the insurrectionists who stormed and desecrated the Capitol should be charged and prosecuted, while at the same time he was in the chamber of the House of Representatives voting to overturn the election of the next President in order to keep a clearly deranged, would be tyrant in office, shows Bergman to be a man without character and to be an embarrassment to the citizens of the First Congressional District.
