Dense fog blankets parts of Punjab, disrupts road, air traffic

The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Dense fog has blanketed several cities of Punjab including Lahore on night between Friday and Saturday, badly disrupting the air and road traffic and paralysing routine life, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the visibility has dropped to zero on main roads across the province and motorway while the flight operation at the Allama Iqbal International Airport has also got affected due to severe weather condition.
The dense fog has also disrupted flow of traffic at the National Highway in Pattoki, Sahiwal, Okara and their adjoining areas as visibility was down to zero metres.
Two passengers with fake visas detained

LAHORE: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two passengers from Allama Iqbal International Airport who were travelling to Romania on fake visas. It has learnt that a team of FIA led by Assistant Director Malik Haroon off loaded two passengers from Romania-bound flight via Turkey after it transpired that both were travelling on fake visas. Passengers are identified as Danish Butt and Aman Ullah. After the arrest a case has been registered against the said accused persons.

LAHORE: Rejecting any rift in the PML-N, former National Assembly speaker and MNA Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that no such issue was taken up in a recent party meeting.
He said those who were talking about playing on both sides of the wicket were themselves playing on both sides. He said there was no such talk held in the party CEC meeting. “There was a meeting at my house on the day of the PDM’s Lahore Jalsa and it was a bit long and the party leaders left my house at two o’clock,” he told the media after an anti-terrorism court confirmed bail to him and other PML-N leaders in a case for participating in a rally to express solidarity with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at Allama Iqbal International Airport in 2018.
