Cavanaugh | Del Sole Cavanaugh Stroyd PITTSBURGH – An Allegheny County couple charge that West Penn Hospital and other medical defendants committed negligence during the husband-plaintiff’s gallbladder removal, leading him to suffer the severance of his bile duct and ongoing pain, among other injuries. Carmen Militello and Jane Militello filed suit in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas on April 30 versus West Penn Hospital, West Penn Allegheny Health System, Inc. (doing business as “West Penn Hospital”), Allegheny Health Network, William H. Nelson, M.D. and Benjamin N.
