NORTH EAST The father of a 4-week-old girl who died from extensive injuries on July 28 had the child taken to the hospital six days earlier after threatening to send police and an ambulance to the home of the child s mother, according to information outlined in search warrants police served in the case.
That information, according to the search warrants, came from a friend of the father, 26-year-old Logan B. Miller, who with the child s mother, 26-year-old Lindsay Orton-McIntyre, faces third-degree murder and other charges in the death of their daughter, who was born on June 24.
The information also provides more details on what police believe happened in the days leading up to the death of the girl, identified in court papers only as KMM.
Ross Township police are investigating a crash that killed a 17-year-old boy Sunday.
Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased at Jacob Weiland of Pittsburgh.
The crash occurred shortly after 9 p.m. along the 300 block of McIntyre Road.
Weiland was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the medical examiner’s report.
Township police said no other vehicles were involved in the crash and the investigation is ongoing.
Police told WPXI there were no signs of drugs or alcohol and the likely cause was speed.
