Brian Shultis, 31, and Cody Tompkins, 29, were arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 2, by members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (URGENT) after an investigation into trafficking, but the heroin was found during a âroutine traffic stop,â the Sheriffâs Office said.

Both men were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance (half an ounce or more) and conspiracy, all felonies.
Shultis also was arrested on Monday, Dec. 7, on an bench warrant in connection with a previous felony arrest and was jailed sent without bail.
