Croda buys into natural beauty with Alban Muller acquisition This month, the international specialty chemicals company announced a deal to buy Alban Muller a longstanding natural ingredients and product manufacturer.
“The acquisition of Alban Muller enhances Croda’s position as a world leader in natural and botanical actives, helping us meet the increasing demand from customers looking for ingredients of natural origin to improve the sustainability profile of their products,” explains Maarten Heybroek, President of Croda’s Consumer Care business, in a press release about the acquisition.

The multinational personal care company’s Murad brand of skin care launched an editorial venture called Well Connected this month.
“Consumer awareness of wellness has skyrocketed in recent years and has only been accelerated by the pandemic,” says Dr Howard Murad, in a statement to the press.
The Well Connected site will feature content from doctors, scientists, and academics. And monthly guest editors will focus content around their particular topic of expertise: Sophia Amoruso will, for instance, focus on financial wellness, Candace Reels will curate content of inclusive wellness, and Dr Zion Ko will cover holistic skin wellness.
