Variety reports that The Venice Film Festival is gearing up to take place as a full-fledged physical event this September, and is expected to run in-person only screenings with several high-profile films on the schedule.

Dune is strongly tipped to launch the festival. The highly-anticipated sci-fi adaptation is currently set for a theatrical release on October 1, but journalists and film delegates will likely flock to The Lido in droves to catch an early look at the movie.
In a cover interview with
Man About Town, Josh Duhamel revealed that after he signed on to replace Armie Hammer, he sent the
Call Me By Your Name star an email.
“I know Armie a little bit, and when I knew I was gonna get the part, I emailed him and said, ‘Listen, I know you are going through it right now, I don’t like to get roles like this and I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you and good luck, get through it, ” Duhamel said.
“He emailed me right back and said thank you so who knows, hopefully he gets through it.”
