Hawke s Bay had a record level of new dwellings consented last year, but don t expect that to solve the housing crisis overnight, the region s leaders say. According to Stats NZ, 1048 consents were given in Hawke s Bay in the year ended November 2020 – a 52 per cent increase on the 689 consents in the 12 months before.
