WARSAW â Todd MacConnell is known as a guy who just shows up, gets the job done, and always has a smile.
Heâs long been active in a lot of roles â directing Wyoming Countyâs Information Technology department, serving as a volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician, and being an active part of Valley Chapel Free Methodist Church.
Thatâs why about 92 people attended a candlelight vigil for MacConnell on Tuesday evening, as he continues to battle COVID-19 at a Buffalo hospital.
Heâs been battling the disease and its effects since November, said Lead Pastor Ryan Rovito of Valley Chapel.
Council Chair Sara Scott Shares Final Note Of 2020
Los Alamos County Council
In this final note of 2020, I’d like to offer a truly heartfelt wish to you all for a safe and Happy New Year. We’ll need to continue to be vigilant into the coming year – staying home as much as possible, wearing our masks, keeping our distance and limiting gatherings – but as we start to vaccinate those in our community, and around the state and nation, I feel hope permeating through our perception of the year ahead.
The County remains at the red “very high” risk level, but we’ve got two new important tools to use to lower the COVID-19 risk to the health of our community and enable broader openings of our businesses, facilities and programs.
