1. Debenhams workers take to picket line to mark a year since closure
A group of former Debenhams workers took to the picket line in Waterford a whole 365 days after they were told by the store they were being made redundant. They say they’ve had little to no communication from the store’s liquidators, KPMG, in the last year.
2. Walk in test centre to open in Waterford tomorrow
The centre located at the WIT complex in College Street, Waterford, will operate from 11am from to 7pm each of five days from tomorrow Saturday the 10th of April to Wednesday the 14th of April inclusive. Meanwhile Europe’s drugs regulator is reviewing possible links between blood clots and Johnson and Johnson’s coronavirus vaccine. The E-M-A says four serious cases have been identified in the US, one of which was fatal.

His funeral will not be a state funeral and the public will not be allowed to attend. The late royal will lie in rest at Windsor Castle, in line with his wishes, before a ceremony at St George’s Chapel.

Details were announced on the College of Arms website just hours after Prince Philip s death was confirmed. The statement reads: The funeral will not be a State Funeral and will not be preceded by a Lying-in-State. His Royal Highness’s body will lie at rest in Windsor Castle ahead of the funeral in St George s Chapel. This is in line with custom and with His Royal Highness’s wishes.

Prince Philip, the husband of Britain s Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, passed away on Friday aged 99, the Buckingham Palace said.
In a statement issued on behalf of the 94-year-old Queen Elizabeth II, the palace said that the country s longest-serving royal consort died peacefully at Windsor Castle on Friday morning.
BBC suspends planned programming on Friday following the death of Prince Philip April Roach UP NEXT
The BBC has suspended its planned programming for Friday following the death of the Duke of Edinburgh.
The BBC said in a statement: “With the sad news that HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, has died, there is now special coverage across all BBC networks to mark his life of extraordinary public service and planned scheduling has been suspended.”
Among the shows that may be impacted by the announcement is The MasterChef final on BBC One and Have I Got News For You.
