The royal family has never appeared “quite so emotional” as during the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh, an expert has said.
Judi James, author and body language expert, said the royals appeared “surprised at how hard Philip’s death had hit them” during the service on Saturday afternoon.
Here she looks at how the senior figures in attendance handled the events.

The monarch, who turns 95 next week, looked “very vulnerable and frail” as she arrived for the service, but remained “the most animated royal”, Ms James said.
“When she was sitting in her seat at the chapel she was wearing a hat that covered her face mostly.
The Irish national flag will be flown at half-mast at state buildings as a ‘mark of respect’ to Prince Philip whose funeral takes place today.
The Duke of Edinburgh died last week, aged 99, following a recent stint in hospital, and his funeral service will begin at 3pm at St George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Prince Philip’s coffin will be transported from the castle to the chapel in a modified Land Rover he helped to design, followed by Prince Charles and senior royals on foot.

The University of Reading has paid tribute to His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who died on 9 April and whose funeral is tomorrow (17 April).
Extending condolences on behalf of the University, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Robert Van de Noort, paid tribute to the Duke, who was an Honorary Graduate of the University and Honorary Life Member of Reading University Students’ Union.
Professor Van de Noort said: “The thoughts of the students, colleagues and community of the University of Reading are with Her Majesty The Queen and members of the Royal Family as they mourn the death of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh.
