Buckingham Palace: Prince Philip has died

Prince Philip, husband to the Queen of England, has died at 99 years old.  Buckingham Palace announced the news early on Friday morning.  In a short statement, the Palace said, “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth announces the death of her beloved husband, Prine Philip of Edinburgh.  “His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.”  The Palace assured that other announcements regarding the Prince’s death will be made in due course.  It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
