HM the King Extends Condolences to Queen Elizabeth II over Death of Her Husband Prince Philip
HM King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences to Her Majesty Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom, following the passing of her husband, HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. It is with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing of your beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. May he rest in peace, wrote the monarch. On this sad occasion, I send Your Majesty, all members of your esteemed Royal family and the British people my personal condolences and deepest sympathy, together with those of the Moroccan people. Our thoughts are with you, said HM the King in the message.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the tragic news on Friday that Prince Philip had passed away, aged 99.
‘It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh,’ Buckingham Palace announced in a statement on Friday. ‘His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.’
Royal family members including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, shared tributes to the much-loved royal on their social media platforms.

Viewers were so maddened by its decision to cancel Friday night staples including the much-anticipated MasterChef final that it set up an online form to cope with a surge in traffic to the complaints site.
