The Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip who was the longest-serving consort in British history, has died at the age of 99.
Federal Member for Hinkler Keith Pitt has issued a statement and passed his condolences on to Queen Elizabeth and the Royal Family.
âIt was with sadness I learned of the death overnight of His Royal Highness Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh,â Mr Pitt said.
âPrince Philip lived a life full of service to the people of Great Britain and the Commonwealth.
âI extend my deep condolences to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and all members of the Royal Family at this time.â

The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners is today marking the death of their patron, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.Â
Prince Phillip had been patron of the College for 47 years, since he formally handed over independence from the faculties of the Royal College of General Practitioners in London at a Foundation Dinner on 24 January 1974. At the dinner, the Duke enjoyed the company of New Zealand GPs so much that he missed his next scheduled event, eventually leaving the dinner at 11pm.Â
In 1981 His Royal Highness become the first honorary Fellow of the College.Â

Tenby Town Council wrote a message of sympathy signed by Mayor of Tenby Cllr Samantha Skyrme-Blackhall, that read: “Tenby Town Council joins the nation in mourning the death of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh.” “As a mark of respect, during the period of Royal mourning, all flags on the town council flagpoles will fly at half-mast. “During the current lockdown, council arrangements may unfortunately be restricted and more details will be forthcoming as we know more.”
