Breaking: Dubai announces new restrictions to combat COVID-19

New restrictions have been announced in Dubai as part of efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19. The changes were announced under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. They apply to restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, entertainment and sports venues as well as hotels. Indoor seating venues, including cinemas, and entertainment and sports venues, will operate at 50 per cent capacity, with restaurants and cafes required to close by 1:00 am.
