HM congratulates President of Burkina Faso

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has received a cable of thanks from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in reply to His Majesty s congratulatory cable to him on the occasion of his country s National Day.
President Tokayev expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for His Majesty the Sultan s congratulations and sincere feelings. He expressed his confidence over the continuation of strong relations between the Sultanate and Kazakhstan for the interest of the two countries and their friendly people.
President Tokayev also wished His Majesty the Sultan continuous health and happiness, and the Omani people permanent progress and prosperity.
Oman s two-phase mass COVID-19 immunisation drive starts

Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health, became the first person in the Sultanate to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Muscat: Oman’s Minister of Health Dr Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi launched the National Campaign for Immunisation against COVID-19 under the theme (Immunisation Is a Prevention) at Seeb Specialised Polyclinic yesterday.
Several undersecretaries of the ministry, as well as healthcare workers were present on the occasion. Among the first to be vaccinated were Dr John Jabbour, the Representative of the World Health Organization in Oman, frontline healthcare workers in the country, and members of the community.
His Majesty invited to Qatar GECF summit

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has received a written message from Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar inviting His Majesty to attend the 6th Gas Summit of Heads of State and Government of Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).
The message was received by HH Sayyid Asa ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, when he received Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Qatari Ambassador to the Sultanate, in his office yesterday.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them in various fields.
