President of the newly elected executive of the Saint Lucia Athletic Association, Cornelius Breen is happy despite the uncertainties affecting track and field locally, regionally and internationally, as a result of the coronavirus.
Making him happy is the progress made by Saint Lucia athletes attending University in the USA. The SLAA has created the first Newsletter/ magazine in 42 years, since it was founded in 1979.

“With the COVID-19 pandemic hindering our operations throughout the past year, we have been unable to take to the tracks to show off the talents of our athletes and the expertise of our coaches and technical officials. But we have hope! We are hopeful that we will be on the field and on the tracks soon,” Breen said.
Vacaville’s Holly Stell readies new music

Music still plays a key role in the life of Vacaville’s Holly Stell, now 27.
Stell sang in the church choir as a child. When she was 9, she signed herself up to sing “Oh Holy Night” at the Christmas pageant.
A few talent shows later, Stell was connected with a children’s charity that Hillary Duff belonged to. Stell sang at Duff’s 16th birthday party in Toronto.
“I have to do the three-hour glucose test,” the reality star said on her Instagram Story in January. “Hoping I pass that one. Obviously, I’m upset because I feel like I eat right, I work out, I do everything right. … Apparently, two out of three of my cousins who have had babies both had gestational diabetes. I guess it’s something that can be genetic. Hoping for the best.”
