8 LINCOLN, Neb. – On a warm and windy weekend, members of the Kansas National Guard Marathon Team were among the 181 National Guard Airmen and Soldiers from 42 states and territories who ran the Lincoln Marathon May 2.
Runners were competing for a chance to earn one of 78 spots on the All-Guard Marathon Team; 50 allocated for top-scoring males, 20 for top-scoring females, three for top-scoring female masters, and three for top-scoring male masters.

By DAVID CHOI | STARS AND STRIPES Published: May 3, 2021 CAMP HUMPHREYS, South Korea Dozens of special warfare airmen weathered heavy wind and rain for their 10th annual 24-hour Challenge Run last week at the largest U.S. military base on the Korean Peninsula. The event, hosted Thursday by the 604th Air Support Operations Squadron out of Camp Humphreys, honored the 12 members of the Air Force’s Tactical Air Control Party who have died in combat or during training since 1989. Tactical air control specialists coordinate air strikes from the ground and typically embed with units from other military branches. Candidates undergo an intense training regimen that includes the military’s survival, evasion, resistance and escape school at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington.

Aviano Air Base, Italy, participated in exercise INIOCHOS 21 at Andravida Air Base April 12–22.
The exercise was a Hellenic air force-sponsored operational and tactical level field training exercise, hosted by the Hellenic Air Tactics Center at Greece’s fighter weapons school. The aim was to enhance combat readiness and fighting capability, while providing participants the opportunity to develop capabilities planning and conduct complex air operations in a multinational, joint-force environment.
Along with Greek and U.S. participants, Canada, Cyprus, Israel, Slovenia, Spain and the United Arab Emirates also supported INIOCHOS 21.
During the exercise, the 510th Fighter Squadron conducted a multitude of joint operations and air defense training to include air-to-ground strike missions, defensive counter-air and close air support, also known as CAS. The 510th FS dropped approximately 170 inert munitions, fired 8,300 training rounds on Greek live-fire ranges and completed more tha
