Updated: 11:40 AM PST Mar 8, 2021 Maya MacGregor North American Aerospace Defense Command is conducting a live-fly air defense exercise over Central California today. The exercise will be between 1-3 p.m. A NORAD F-16 fighter and a C-130J transport aircraft will participate in the exercise. The NORAD plane will be flying at high altitudes for the majority of the exercise. However, officials say the plane will do a low approach at a local airfield in Monterey County. The routine exercises are closely controlled and used to test responses and equipment.
