Ontario County Public Health: One COVID-19 death Thursday Messenger Post Media HOPEWELL Ontario County Public Health on Thursday is reporting the COVID-19 death of someone who was in the 40- to 49-year-old range.  With 22 new community-acquired COVID-19 cases April 15, 6,784 Ontario County residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and now 106 people have died.  There are 272 COVID-19 positive individuals who are being isolated. This is in addition to 411 mandatory quarantines (contacts of positive cases), totaling 683 in the isolation and quarantine category. Eighteen people are in the hospital.  With 66 recoveries reported in the last 24 hours, 6,412 recoveries have been reported since the start of the pandemic. There were 1,206 negative tests.

Since the start of the pandemic, 6, 700 Ontario County residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and 105 people have died.  Eight of the new cases are school-age kids, health officials said. There are 289 COVID-19 positive individuals who are being isolated. This is in addition to 468 mandatory quarantines (contacts of positive cases), totaling 757 in the isolation and quarantine category. Sixteen people are in the hospital.  With 51 recoveries reported in the last 24 hours, 6,312 recoveries have been reported since the start of the pandemic. There were 417 negative tests.

For information, call 585-396-4556. This is for people ages 18 and over.            Twenty-four hours after your first dose visit has been entered and recorded, you will automatically be registered to receive the second dose of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on May 11.   You will be given the same appointment time as the one you select for your first dose appointment.

Since the start of the pandemic, 6,583 Ontario County residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and 105 people have died.  Public Health officials also are sharing vaccine statistics Thursday. So far, Ontario County residents have received 43,280 first-dose vaccinations (49%) and 25,825 second-dose vaccinations (29.4%).  There are 285 COVID-19 positive individuals who are being isolated. This is in addition to 270 mandatory quarantines (contacts of positive cases), totaling 555 in the isolation and quarantine category. Sixteen people are in the hospital.
