The Norfolk and Haldimand Board of Health, members of Haldimand council, and the president of the Ontario Nurses Association agreed this week that labour-management relations at the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit are badly strained and in need of a “reset.”
In an extraordinary public meeting Wednesday that included ONA head Vicki McKenna, the board of health heard that local ONA members have lodged more than 600 grievances in the recent past, most related to the health unit’s pandemic response.
