The house at 8165 Kipling Avenue is on the market for $1.2 million. The unit (#66) is part of the Fairground Lofts condo development, but the home is unique as it has a heritage designation.
The home at 8165 Kipling Avenue in Vaughan was built in 1881.
It was built in 1881 and is known as the Thomas P. Wright House, according to Ontario Heritage Trust documents.

Engine 17: Why it matters
Cornwall owes its success, in no small way, to the Cornwall Street Railway Company (CSR). For 134 years, economic growth depended on CSR and its successors. The legacy of CSR today includes the preferential electricity rates from Quebec and the Progress Fund from the sale of Cornwall Electric for $67,000,000. The only tangible remnant remaining is Engine 17 and that it is why it is a meaningful symbol of our history.

A passionate promoter, educator and student of Norfolk history has been recognized with a Lieutenant-Governor’s Ontario Heritage Award.
William Terry of Simcoe was honoured with the Lieutenant-Governor’s Lifetime Achievement Award during the Ontario Heritage Trust’s annual Heritage Week celebration, which this year occurred Feb. 15-21.
