French-speaking teachers in the area that do not currently have the formal qualifications to teach in the language now have the option to get them.
Wilfrid Laurier University has partnered with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board and the Grand Erie District School Board to make French as a Second Language teaching qualifications available to current teachers.
The tuition could be covered by those who qualify under the funding from the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association for the summer course.
